Thanksgiving morning began like it has for the past many years. Our house comes alive with the sounds of voices of our youngest daughter, her husband and their two sons. After a nice breakfast by Esther, our daughter and her husband and I go for a brisk walk while Esther stays behind and entertains the youngest grandson. During the walk, I was impressed with Psalm 103:4. Rather than read this verse by itself, I want to share the first five verses of this Psalm, which makes the light of verse four shine bright in our lives:
Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Let us rejoice in His love and compassion that makes all His blessings possible in our lives!
